Introduction
There are four alternative routes from Nice to Monaco and further to Ventimiglia, Italy. The A8 motorway, Grande Corniche, Moyenne Corniche and Bas Corniche. These photos are from the Grande Corniche, which offers the best overall views around the area and also has quite a remarkable history. 31 kms from Nice to Menton, built by Napoleon on the traces of antique via Julia Augusta.
Saturday was a day with good visibility as a result of strong Scirocco wind on Friday, it blew away all dust and moisture from the air. However, the temperature had dropped remarkably since Friday, Breva's thermometer stayed below 15C even at the sea level.
