About fuel consumption and ...
Thanks for asking Michael, I think the fuel consumption interests many others too. I have not checked the consumption "manually", but the on-board computer shows figures which vary from 5.4 l/100 km up to 6.3 l/100 km.
5.4 l/100 km seems to be a typical figure when riding with relaxed pace on mountains; and when commuting, I get 6.3 readings. My commuting is a mixed trip, starting from a mountain village and ending to the Sophia Antipolis technology park. In the morning the traffic is quite dense, lot of accelerations and braking. But in the evenings when the road is free the centre stand gets regular grinding on one of the tight left hand turns.
For Anders: LOL! Yes, I admit, the top-box is somewhat ugly >:( So ugly actually that today the top-box was in the garage and I enjoyed her (the bike, not the top-box) fully naked. She looks and feels so much better like that!
I've been waiting for the Guzzi OEM side panniers for ages now... and what's more, the 1100 Breva tank-bag is already kaput, finito, broken. I must say that the 750 Breva tank-bag was a quality item, equipped with sturdy zippers, but this one (the 1100 version) had a zippers which were like from women's underwear. Baah - didn't tolerate my use for long. Luckily the bike itself works like a clockwork, not a single beat missed yet.

Long silence...
Pronto! Thanks for waking me up Suavek! I've not posted for a long time, but it's for a good reason! I've been working too much for couple of weeks now, leaving too little time for riding and relaxing. As a startup business owner, I'm pretty happy to have lots of work, but currently we simply have too few persons employed to keep the projects decently on time. Luckily it's getting better next week already.
In addition to the huge workload, I've used my spare energy (not a lot!) to set up a Finnish Moto Guzzi discussion forum for "Gruppo Moto Guzzi Finlandia". Have a look at it by clicking here.
Anyway, I did some riding in the mountains last weekend with my friend who was visiting us (from Finland) - I'll post some pics later in the evening, whenever I get back to home from the office. (Done, the pics are below)

On the road again
Both the 1100 and the 750 got their scheduled maintenance this week. It was the first service for the 1100, which has almost 2000 km now, and 15000 km service for the 750. The service cured the jumpy on/off feeling of the throttle of the 1100, which feels smooth now, but oddly the 750 is now cursed with slow speed stuttering when the engine is cold.
Anyway, both Brevas hit the road again on the Saturday morning - the pictures are from our tour to the mountains. You may notice my new Aprilia branded top-box with passanger back-padding. Missus likes it.
